Take Explore Minnesota's Fall Business Conditions Survey

Explore Minnesota is conducting quarterly Minnesota Tourism Business Conditions Survey in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and Hospitality Minnesota to gain insight into real-time business conditions. Lodging properties, restaurants and attractions are encouraged to take this survey by the end of day Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Survey findings help to shape how Explore Minnesota promotes the state, engages with the media, and provides the industry information and programming. The Federal Reserve is interested in understanding real-time business conditions and Hospitality Minnesota is interested in understanding economic conditions to advocate for policies. Quarterly business conditions surveys consist of mostly repeat questions, helping us track change over time. Consistent survey participation is critical for telling the evolving story of the industry recovery.

In mid-December, Explore Minnesota will share a survey findings summary in EMT Express. Previous Industry Business Conditions reports can be viewed in the Research and Surveys section of the tourism industry website.

October Snapshot of Consumer Activity on ExploreMinnesota.com

Fall activities remained the focus in October as consumers sought out spooky events to celebrate the harvest season. Fall related pages accounted for the two most viewed pages as well as several of the top ten.

Visits and pageviews were up year over year, as well as when compared to pre-pandemic 2019. Activity did slow down month over month, which is on par with what we expect for seasonal trends.
