SEGIP recently announced that CVS Caremark will manage the prescription drug benefit for members next year. Here is some information on the upcoming change.
CVS Caremark will mail out a Welcome Packet including member information and member prescription drug cards toward the end of December.
In addition to the Welcome Packet, you will receive a separate letter from CVS Caremark outlining the transition and explaining your options if you are currently:
Taking a drug that is not on the drug formulary,
Taking a specialty medication,
Using the mail order service; or,
Filling prescriptions that had an existing prior-authorization.
Also toward the end of December, you will be able to access CVS Caremark member registration services on the CVS Caremark website.
CVS Caremark Customer Care phone lines are available to answer your questions prior to the January 1, 2018 transition. You can contact CVS Caremark by calling 1-844-345-3234.
Effective January 1, 2018, begin using your CVS Caremark prescription drug card.
Please contact SEGIP at 651-355-0100 if you have questions.
