Due to a contract dispute between Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota, Children’s announced their intent to leave the Blue Cross network effective July 4, 2017. 

If Blue Cross and Children’s negotiations fall short of agreement this summer, the provider will remain in the SEGIP network through December 31, 2017.

Any change by Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota will not affect SEGIP members for the 2017 plan year. The State’s contracts with SEGIP plan administrators, including Blue Cross, require that clinics continue in the SEGIP network through the end of the calendar year.
