Vision

MetLife administers the vision plan. If you had coverage through Davis Vision with Blue Cross as of Dec. 31, 2025 your coverage automatically moved to MetLife Vision unless you canceled it during Open Enrollment.

The vision plan is available to employees who are eligible for benefits, no matter where you get your medical insurance. The plan helps pay for eyeglasses or contact lenses and offers discounts on LASIK and more. SEGIP's medical insurance covers eye exams.

Sign up for the vision plan
Any employee who is eligible for benefits may sign up for the vision plan:
- When you are a new employee or are a current employee who is newly eligible for benefits. Watch your mail for a benefits enrollment packet from SEGIP.
- When you get married, have a baby or experience another life event that may qualify you to change your benefits. Go to the Change My Coverage page for details.
- During annual Open Enrollment.
