Watch your U.S. mail for a letter from SEGIP. The letter outlines the documents you must send to SEGIP to prove the person(s) you added to coverage are eligible.
Proof is required for medical, dental vision, and life insurance. If SEGIP doesn’t receive your proof by the date in your letter, the person(s) you tried to add will be removed from your coverage—even if they get an insurance ID card or paperwork. Unless you experience what's called a qualifying life event, you'll have to wait until open enrollment next year to try to sign them up for coverage.
