Waive my medical coverage for the first time

If you have health insurance through a different employer group or the U.S. military you may be able to waive medical coverage offered through your state employer.

You can't waive coverage for the first time in Self Service. The process requires you to send a paper form (Waiver of Medical Insurance) to SEGIP.  You also need to provide proof that you have other acceptable insurance. You'll find more information and instructions on the form.
