Hello! I’m Danelle Gournaris and I’m the Collaborative Plan Program Director. I’m responsible for the Collaborative Experience Conference, a conference for parents, DHH teachers, and professionals serving students who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing in Minnesota.
Today I will announce one of our keynote presenters!
This presenter will discuss educational equity for language and disability justice.
This presenter has done research on social justice, translanguaging, colonization, Deaf Education, and Deaf Studies with an emphasis on analyzing systems of power.
This presenter has been a K-12 Deaf educator, early interventionalist, and professor in Deaf Education, Deaf Studies, and Interpreter Education.
This presenter is also a co-founder of Myers & Lawyer, a Black multilingual researcher/interpreter duo that engages in research, consultation, training and resource development for BIPOC interpreters.
I’m excited to welcome Dr. Gloshanda Lawyer to the Collaborative Experience Conference.
