Assisted Living Director and Health Services Executive Rule Writing

The Health Services Executive and assisted living director (LALD) legislation was signed by Governor Tim Walz on May 29, 2019, will be effective July 1, 2021. Both licenses will be administered by the Minnesota Board of Executives for Long Term Care Services and Supports (BELTSS - name change will be effective July 1, 2020), which also licenses nursing home administrators.  Representatives from the Board and stakeholders are currently engaged in the rule-writing process to incorporate the new license types into State Rules.
