The toolkit provides a self-assessment the Mentee/ALD Applicant/ALDIR will complete prior to beginning the field experience/practicum to identify strengths/weaknesses and will help guide the Mentor and Mentee/ALD Applicant/ALDIR in the number of hours recommended and topics throughout the field experience.
BELTSS encourages the Mentor and Mentee/ALDIR to view the self-guided tutorial before beginning the field experience/practicum. The toolkit will be used as a guide and resource with sample learning activities, tasks, a professional development plan and additional resources in helping prepare for the examinations. At the end of the Field Experience the Mentor will complete the evaluation form found under mentor resources. This will serve as documentation of completing the self-assessment and field experience.
