Official Transcript Request

Accredited Colleges/Universities:

You will need to request the educational institution submit an official transcript directly to the Board office by sending via email to beltss.hlb@state.mn.us. Transcripts submitted to the BELTSS office by an applicant will not be accepted. The transcript must show evidence that you have completed a degree, or the specific course required to be valid. If you order a physical transcript, you may place the sealed envelope into another envelope, and forward it in another envelope directly to the board office.

Degrees earned outside of the United States:

The BELTSS board will require the non-US Degree earner to have a credential review by an accredited vendor who specializes in equivalency. These companies review education and degrees received outside of the United States to ensure that it meets equivalent education standards.

To verify a degree from a foreign college or university, an applicant must have their education reviewed for equivalency through either the National Association of Credential Evaluation or World Education Services. Transcript evaluations may be forwarded to the Board office via email to beltss.hlb@state.mn.us after an evaluation determination is delivered by one of the credentialing services.
