Courses and Education Programs
An applicant must complete a course of study with a minimum of 80 hours in core subjects necessary to perform the duties of an assisted living director and a course of study with a minimum of 40 hours in subjects necessary to perform the duties of an assisted living director in Minnesota. Applicants must complete the ALD program course prior to applying to take the exams. Upon completion of the ALD program course, the program providers will send BELTSS an official transcript. The following programs have been approved by the Board as meeting the minimum standard set in State Rules to provide education for Assisted Living Directors.
