The Minnesota Department of Human Rights cordially invites the public to attend a meet and greet event with Commissioner Kevin Lindsey on Oct. 5 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM at the Rondo Community Library in St. Paul.

Guests will have an opportunity to speak with Commissioner Lindsey and other department staff, collect agency information and learn about new agency initiatives.

This event is free. Parking is available in the ramp attached to the library. Street parking is available on nearby streets.

Additional information: Commissioner Lindsey will discuss and answer questions on:

• Changes to the charge process at the Department of Human Rights, aimed at reducing the time needed to investigate cases and make a determination.
• MDHR's efforts to engage in equity-related issues (e.g. eliminating employment disparities; improving access to voting).
• MDHR's progress on initiatives undertaken from the March 2011 Economic Summit.
• How MDHR can engage with community efforts to eliminate disparities.
