About the position
The Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) is the state's civil rights enforcement agency. MDHR protects the civil rights of Minnesotans through the Minnesota Human Rights Act, one of the strongest civil rights laws in the country.
The Certificates Division at MDHR is responsible for issuing workforce and equal pay certificates to companies that contract with the State of Minnesota. These certificates require companies to maintain a workplace free from discrimination under the Minnesota Human Rights Act.
This position is responsible for supervising and supporting the team within the Certificates department. Importantly, the supervisor will work with the Certificates Director to create a culture that fosters collaboration with the team, within the Agency, and within Agency partners across the Enterprise. This role manages day-to-day work of the team, improves processes, and serves as the primary point of contact for high-profile or complex issues that arise among contractors and state agencies.
