The Minnesota Department of Human Rights (MDHR) will hold a training showcase from 8 AM to Noon on May 16. Topics will include the role of managers and supervisors in causing or preventing workplace discrimination; an employer's legal obligations to accommodate employee's religious beliefs; and how the Department of Human Rights' complaint process works.
Richard Cousin, an MDHR Enforcement Officer assigned to the St. Cloud office, will discuss the complaint process and analyze previous department cases. Attorney Pamela M. Harris will discuss the role of managers and supervisors, and CAIR-MN Civil Rights Coordinator Munazza Humayun will discuss religious accommodation.
