Community members have an important role to play in making sure the City of Minneapolis (City) and Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) are making transformational changes required by the consent decree.
Below are two ways you can get involved!
This week, Effective Law Enforcement for All (ELEFA) will host its first public community meetings. You'll get a chance to meet the team, hear about their work, and learn how the monitoring team evaluates MPD's policies.
The two meetings will follow the same agenda and format.
These regular meetings are hosted by Effective Law Enforcement for All-- not the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, the City, or MPD -- and are required by the consent decree.
At these meetings, Effective Law Enforcement for All will provide updates about the City and MPD’s work to center continuous learning based on humanity and civil rights as detailed in the consent decree.

The deadline to share your feedback with the City and MPD is December 13.
