Culture and Narratives
Minnesota Humanities Center Absent Narratives Resource Collection
The Absent Narratives Resource Collection is a searchable database of ready-to-use videos. Items included in the collection have been created or developed by the Humanities Center and its partners. MCLA, formerly known as the Chicano Latino Affairs Council, worked with MHC on collaborative video projects related to Minnesota Latino communities from 2009-2011 and 2011-2013. The database and videos can be found at www.humanitieslearning.org/resource/
Two of the projects include Latino Voices in Minnesota, which explores how Latino residents in greater Minnesota are helping to revive and create local culture and business opportunities, and The Birth of Saint Paul's West Side, exploring the history and development of St. Paul’s West Side into a thriving business center of Latino culture and commerce.
