Ivette Izea-Martinez

Chair, At-Large Member

Ivette Izea-Martinez is originally from Venezuela and has been a MN resident since 1996. Currently she is the Co-Director of Family Advocacy and Community Engagement at Casa de Esperanza where she oversees the development, implementation, and enhancement of Fuerza Unida Amig@s a domestic and sexual violence prevention initiative. Ivette has served in the Ramsey County Hispanic Latinx Mental Health Coalition, is a former planning member of the Mujeres Latinas Expo, a 2018 MN Change Network Cohort fellow, a 2019 Upswell Fellow, and is a 2020 graduate from The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice Ortner Center on Violence & Abuse, and the Center for Social Impact Strategy Executive Program in Leadership Strategy for Violence & Abuse Prevention. In addition to serving at the council, Ivette is a member of the Equity Advisory Council for Independent School District 196 and the Dakota County Ecosystem POCI group.
