Collaborative Experience Conference Seeking Presenter Proposals

The Collaborative Plan Conference is now accepting proposals for the sixth biennial conference for parents and professionals who work with students who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing. The conference will be held on November 1-3, 2024 at the Breezy Point Resort in Breezy Point, MN. 

Deadline

The deadline to submit your proposal is June 28, 2024. 

How to submit your proposal

Fill out the online proposal form. Be sure to fill out the form completely as partially completed proposals will not be accepted. 

Priority topics

We are especially seeking proposals related to the following topics:

  • Accommodations, modification, and adaption of curriculum, material, and instruction
  • ASL/deaf culture
  • Cultural competency
  • Deaf/hard of hearing with diverse/multiple cultural and linguistic backgrounds
  • Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing with multiple disabilities
  • Deafblind topics
  • Educational interpreting
  • LGBTQIA+
  • Positive behavior intervention
  • Racial issues related to equity, racism, ableism, audism
  • Reading preparation
  • Specific workshops for parents
  • Strategies/resources for mental health needs for teachers
  • Strategies/resources for mental health needs for parents
  • Strategies/resources for social-emotional supports/development
  • Suicide prevention
