Hearing on Wednesday, March 11, 12:30 PM
3/9/2026 7:31:32 PM
SF3717 (Mann) will be heard by the Senate Education Policy Committee.
This bill adds language requiring that the needs of students with disabilities be considered during crisis situations. The Commission encourages community members to attend the hearing in person to show their support.
Note: We are also looking for people who have experienced access barriers during school emergency situations, including drills. Please email Alicia (alicia.lane@state.mn.us) if you have a story you would be willing to share. Testimony may be submitted as a letter or delivered in person.
Special note: This hearing will take place immediately after a Senate floor session, which may run long and affect the committee schedule. For that reason, anyone planning to testify is strongly encouraged to submit written testimony by noon tomorrow (Tuesday, March 10) in case there is not enough time for in-person testimony.
