Temporary Permits for Graduates No Longer Issued

Beginning March 1, 2012the Board no longer issues temporary permits to practice nursing for new graduates.Recent statutory changes have removed the requirement for the Board to issue temporarypermits for recent graduates of nursing programs. These grad permitswere 60 days in length and allowed graduates to work while waiting to take the licensure exam. The licensure exam in nowavailable almost daily and in several locations. The need for grad permits is outdated.
