Minnesota Board of Nursing now accepting applications for APRN Licensure

10/13/2014 10:14:43 AM

The Minnesota Board of Nursing will begin accepting applications for APRN licenses on October 14, 2014. Effective January 1, 2015, authorization to practice as an APRN will require individuals to be licensed as an APRN and maintain current certification by a national nurse certification organization acceptable to the board as a clinical nurse specialist (CNS), certified nurse practitioner (CNP), certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), or certified nurse midwife (CNM). There are multiple forms to complete, and the application completion process is dependent on external sources (such as national certification organizations and APRN programs). Please apply early; you will not be authorized to practice as an APRN after December 31, 2014, without an APRN license. To find additional APRN licensure information and the forms required please follow the /boards/nursing/advanced-practice/index.jspAdvanced Practice tab.
