RN and LPN Review Course

If it has been five years or more since an applicant completed either a professional or practical nursing program, or if the applicant has not successfully passed the licensing examination within 5 years of completing their professional or practical nursing program, the applicant is required to complete a Review Course before taking the NCLEX-RN® or NCLEX-PN® licensure examination.

A review course is a planned program of study that reviews basic nursing knowledge and the context of care delivery within the scope of practice for a professional or practical nurse. For more detailed information and review course resources please view the RN and LPN Review Course Requirement Information form.

The applicant must provide the Board with a certificate or the Affidavit of Successful Completion of Review Course for Licensure by Examination form once the course has been completed.
