Cannabis Market Monitor

This dashboard is designed to provide transparent information about cannabis cultivation, sales activities, and cannabis licensing in the state of Minnesota. This is aggregated, publicly available data to provide a view of the cannabis market. 

The following information is available on the dashboard by selecting one of the tabs at the top.

• The Licenses tab includes the number of licensed business sites, the total number of licenses issued over time, and the total number of licenses issued.
• The Retail Sales tab includes information about both medical and adult-use cannabis sales in Minnesota.
• The Product Sales tab provides more detail about cannabis sales, including sales by product type, volume of adult-use flower sales compared with sales of medical cannabis products, and the median retail price per gram of flower.
• The Cultivation tab shows trends in cannabis cultivation in Minnesota for both adult-use and medical cannabis products.
• The Overview tab provides a list of terms used in the dashboard, along with other useful information.

How OCM collects cannabis market data: All cannabis license holders are required to collect data about products sold and cannabis cultivation, using an inventory management system. This system traces cannabis products starting from cultivation through processing, testing, distribution and sale.

The data are updated monthly.
