The 2023 legislative session was one of the busiest in state history, and many of the new programs and policies passed during the 2023 legislative session have begun to be implemented or planned. To help explain the main outcomes of the 2023 session , the Council produced a series of infographics on Mental Health and Substance Abuse, Higher Education, Equity, Achievement Gap, and Healthcare outlining changes during the 2023 legislative session. One of the main functions of the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans is to advise the Legislature of administrative and legislative changes needed to improve the economic and social condition of the constituency of the Council. This may include but is not limited to working with legislators to develop legislation to address these issues and to work for passage of the legislation.
