55PrattWe at the Council have seen many changes to our Board this spring season.

First, please help us bid farewell to Senator Eric Pratt (right), who has served on the Council’s Board since 2019 as the Senate GOP representative. We are grateful for his years of service providing guidance, grounding, and expertise to our small team as we weathered some of the biggest challenges this Council has seen since its founding in 1985.

While we say goodbye to Senator Pratt, we also welcome several new legislative members:

Sen. Hemmingsen-JaegerSenator Amanda Hemmingsen-Jaeger (left) was re-appointed to the Council’s Board after her election to the Senate. Senator Hemmingsen-Jaeger serves as the Senate DFL representative on the Council Board; she represents areas of Washington County that include Woodbury and Maplewood. She is serving her first term as state senator.

Sen. Mark Koran
Senator Mark Koran (right) was appointed to the Council’s Board, replacing Senator Pratt as the Senate GOP representative. Sen. Koran represents areas of Anoka County that include Cambridge and Lindstrom. He is serving his third term as state senator.

Rep. XP Lee
Representative Xiongpao (XP) Lee (left) was appointed to the Council’s Board, replacing former Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger as the House DFL representative. Representative Lee represents parts of Hennepin and Anoka County that include Brooklyn Park, Champlin, and Coon Rapids. He is serving his first term as state representative.

Please help us welcome these new (and new-to-their-branch) legislative members to our Council Board.
