Minnesota Humanities Center Grant Opportunities

The Minnesota Humanities Center (MHC), by virtue of funding provided by the Minnesota legislature, is offering substantial grants for several important community-building opportunities. These include: 
  • $8 million in cultural heritage grants for humanities organizations & individuals
  • $750,000 to support capacity building for small non-profit humanities organizations
  • $100,000 to non-profit humanities organizations responding to crisis and emergencies
  • $3.2 million to children’s museums, and 
  • $300,000 to organizations and programs providing civics programming
MHC is also seeking individuals to serve as independent review panelists to assist MHC in determining grant awards. MHC is particularly interested in reviewers from BIPOC communities and individuals with humanities experience, museum experience, nonprofit management, and/or civics and government education experience.
