The Council hosts unique events each year aimed at helping us carry out our statutory duties on an as-needed-basis.

Second Conversation with the MAP Caucus

4/12/2021 9:28:42 AM

Please join us for the second of three live-streamed conversations the Council is holding with legislators from the Minnesota Asian Pacific (MAP) Caucus during the 2021 legislative session!

Our next conversation takes place on Tuesday, April 20 from noon–1PM, and will be streamed live on WebEx and on the Council's Facebook page. We will be joined by the following MAP Caucus members:

  • Rep. Tou Xiong. Rep. Xiong is also Vice Chair of the Labor, Industry, Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee, and Chair of the MAP Caucus (DFL, district 53A);
  • Rep. Jay Xiong. Rep. Xiong is Vice Chair of the Workforce and Business Development Finance and Policy Committee (DFL, 67B);
  • Rep. Fue Lee. Rep. Lee is chair of the Capital Investment Committee (DFL, district 59A); and
  • Sen. Foung Hawj (District 67).
There will be an opportunity to submit questions and engage with these legislators during the conversation, but you may also submit questions in advance to Council staff at andrew.morris@state.mn.us.

The Council is excited to partner with the MAP Caucus in this series to help inform Asian Pacific Minnesotans about the work of the Legislature in 2021, and to help uplift the rising leadership profile of our community in the state. These conversations highlight the growth of our community in Minnesota over the years, the role of state government, and ongoing and developing policy issues of importance to Asian Pacific Minnesotans.
