    The Council hosts several events each year including Asian Pacific Islander Day at the Capitol and Asian Pacific Minnesotans Leadership Awards Dinner. Additionally, we also host events aimed at helping us to carry out our statutory duties on an as-needed-basis.     Asian Pacific Minnesotans Leadership Awards Dinner 2014

    The 2014 Dinner's theme is “Economic Development”.

    The Dinner will be held on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Prom Center. A networking reception will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by a dinner program at 6:00 PM. This year’s keynote speaker is Mr. Narayana Kocherlakota, president and chief executive officer of the Ninth District Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis.

    Leadership Awards are given to recognize, honor, and celebrate the work of individuals and/or organizations that have demonstrated commitment to and leadership in the Asian Pacific Minnesotan community. The 2014 recipients are:
