Eating well is an important part of being healthy, doing what you want to do and being able to live how and where you want to.
Senior Nutrition Program
The Minnesota Board on Aging works in partnership with Minnesota's area agencies on aging (AAAs) and nutrition providers to offer congregate dining and home-delivered meals statewide. The Senior Nutrition Program provides meals in group settings and delivered to people’s homes to older adults 60 years of age and above. Congregate dining, provides an opportunity to enjoy a nutritious meal in a friendly atmosphere. Home-delivered meals are targeted to older adults who are unable to get to meal sites for a congregate meal. Meals are brought to an individual’s home by volunteers or staff. Both congregate dining and home-delivered meals are supported by Older Americans Act funding, USDA funds and a variety of state and local funds, as well as client contributions.
