Licensees, within 30 days of attending a non-preapproved course, may apply to the Board for credit by completing and submitting an individual continuing education course approval form. The CE Advisory Committee is the final determinator of credit to be allowed. If you have a question about whether or not your program can be considered for individual CE approval, please contact the Board. Please submit the Individual Continuing Education Application for approval, along with any information you can provide to the Board office about the course (speaker biography, brochure, lecture notes, etc). Your request will then be sent to the CE Advisory Committee for review.
Use the Individual Continuing Education Application form for approval or the web-based form below to apply for approval. A fee is not required for this review.
After you submit your application for approval to the Board, the continuing education review committee will review the application. You will receive notice from the Board if your continuing education has been approved or denied and for how many credits. You will receive an official letter from the Board for your records.
Presenters must be qualified by practical or academic experience to teach the subject covered. You must provide speaker biographical information for every instructor that is not board certified in a specialty recognized by the AVMA if the equivalent information is not provided in the information distributed by the CE program. The Continuing Education Speaker Biography Form can be utilized for this.
