Emeritus status is for individuals whose Minnesota license is currently Voluntarily Retired and declares to be no longer actively practicing chiropractic in any jurisdiction. There is no application fee to apply for Emeritus status, no annual renewal fee, and no requirement for continuing education.
A Doctor of Chiropractic in Emeritus status who wishes to reinstate to active will be required to:
- Submit an application for reinstatement.
- Pay the current renewal fee
- If the license has not been active for more than one year, complete a criminal background check and pay the required fee
- Submit license verification from each jurisdiction where the applicant holds or has held a chiropractic license
- Submit evidence of correcting any outstanding requirements and paying any outstanding fees that existed at the time the license was put in emeritus status
- Complete any additional applicable requirements in MINN. STAT. 148.076 subd 3, 4, 5, and 7, such as verification of completing required continuing education and taking the NBCE SPEC exam.
