Data Requests & Public Mailing Lists

The Government Data Practices Act (Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13) gives every individual important rights when state agencies collect, create, receive, maintain, or disseminate data. The Data Practices Act presume that all government data are public unless a state or federal law says the data are not public.

Data Practice Policy

The public has the right to look at (inspect), free of charge, all public data that the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners (MBCE) keeps. The public also has the right to obtain copies of public data. The Data Practices Act allows MBCE to charge for copies. When MBCE identifies an individual in government data, that individual is considered the "data subject" of that data. The Data Practices Act gives data subjects certain rights to request data about them, their minor child, or someone for whom they are the legal guardian.

Review the MBCE's Data Practices Policies for information regarding rights to gain access to data maintained by the MBCE and how to make a request for public data or data about oneself.

Public Mailing List

The Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners' Public Mailing List includes public addresses of all current Doctors of Chiropractic licensed in Minnesota. It may be purchased by mailing the Public Mailing List Request along with the appropriate fee (see form for details). The Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners does NOT give out email addresses, websites, or any private/nonpublic/confidential data per the Data Practices Act.

Data Inventory

The MBCE's Data Inventory lists private, confidential, and nonpublic data on individuals collected and maintained by the Board:
