Development of Programs: Continuing education credit may be obtained for developing programs which have been taught during the continuing education year, and which would ordinarily be approvable by the MBCE. No more than 6 credits may be awarded for the continuing education year and may be awarded only once for each program developed. For more information see Minn. R. 2500.1720 and send a request for approval accordingly to the MBCE. All information required by the rule must be included, or the request may be denied.
Full Time Faculty: Continuing education credit may be received by full time faculty of a chiropractic college. To obtain such credit you must ask the college to verify your full-time status with the MBCE. Further, the credit is limited to 6 units per calendar year and may not be applied to X-Ray or Professional Boundary requirements. Letters of verification may be submitted directly to the MBCE. Minn. Continuing Education for Examiners: Minnesota licensed chiropractors may receive up to 9 units of continuing education for participation in the development of an examination, the administration of an examination, or the post-examination audit. To obtain such credit, units must be verified in writing by the chief examiner or other designee of the board. Units must be calculated according to Minn. R. 2500.0100, Subp. 4a. The total units earned per calendar year may not exceed 18. Letters of verification may be submitted directly to the MBCE. Minn. R. 2500.0710
In-Person CPR Courses: In-person CPR courses sponsored by the American Heart Association and American Red Cross qualify for CE credit. To receive credit, you must provide an attendance certificate which includes your name, the provider, the date, and the number of credits that were received. It may be necessary to provide both the attendance certificate and a copy of your CPR certification card.
The MN Board of Chiropractic Examiners offers a FREE Continuing Education Seminar. The purpose of this seminar is to familiarize licensees with the mission and functions of the Board. When this seminar is available, active licensees will be sent an invitation by email.
