MBCE Approved - Course Search

The MN Board of Chiropractic Examiners maintains a database of all MBCE approved continuing education for any given year. To ensure that the CE you wish to take is approved for credits, you are strongly encouraged to locate the course in our CE Search Tool.

Tips for Searching
  • DATES: You must enter dates of 01/01/YYYY to 12/31/YYYY to bring up courses for the current year.
  • COURSE TYPE: Use this to find specific course content such as acupuncture or professional boundaries.
  • STUDY TYPE: Choose "alternative" to locate online courses or "instructor" to locate in person courses.
  • CITY, SPONSOR NAME, COURSE NAME: Less words entered will find more results. For example. input "Northwest" to find courses offered by Northwestern Health Sciences University.
  • COURSE ID: Every course approved by MBCE has a 5-digit MBCE Course ID#.
  • To view details on any course, click the > arrow to the left of the search result, and information will drop down such as sponsor name, contact information, location, etc.
  • If your search results are more than 500, only the first 500 will appear.  Depending on the content of your search, you can search by the letter "A" or the letter "B" and so on.  Or find other ways to limit your search.

PACE Approved Courses

The MBCE accepts all courses approved by the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards' PACE Program, however these courses will not appear in our search. To be accepted by the MBCE for credit, the official attendance certificate MUST have the official PACE logo, the name of the course, dates of attendance, number of hours, type of hours (if no type is given only regular/general credits will be granted), your name and license number.

Special Options for Continuing Education

Development of Programs: Continuing education credit may be obtained for developing programs which have been taught during the continuing education year, and which would ordinarily be approvable by the MBCE. No more than 6 credits may be awarded for the continuing education year and may be awarded only once for each program developed. For more information see Minn. R. 2500.1720 and send a request for approval accordingly to the MBCE. All information required by the rule must be included, or the request may be denied.

Full Time Faculty: Continuing education credit may be received by full time faculty of a chiropractic college. To obtain such credit you must ask the college to verify your full-time status with the MBCE. Further, the credit is limited to 6 units per calendar year and may not be applied to X-Ray or Professional Boundary requirements. Letters of verification may be submitted directly to the MBCE.  Minn. R. 2500.1200 Subp. 6

Continuing Education for Examiners: Minnesota licensed chiropractors may receive up to 9 units of continuing education for participation in the development of an examination, the administration of an examination, or the post-examination audit. To obtain such credit, units must be verified in writing by the chief examiner or other designee of the board. Units must be calculated according to Minn. R. 2500.0100, Subp. 4a. The total units earned per calendar year may not exceed 18. Letters of verification may be submitted directly to the MBCE.  Minn. R. 2500.0710

It may be necessary to provide both the attendance certificate and a copy of your CPR certification card.

Alternative Formats

Licensees may take all or any portion of their CE requirements in an alternative format, such as online, correspondence, or video conferencing, etc. For more information see Minn. R. 2500.1500.
