Emergency Medical Service Provider Examinations

Individuals seeking registration of certification as an Emergency Medical Service provider must meet the following exam requirements:

Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) - There are currently no exam requirements for EMR applicants. Candidates must have their competency verified by a Minnesota Approved Education Program
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Candidates must complete the NREMT examination process including both the Cognitive and Psychomotor Examination
Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) - Candidates must complete the NREMT examination process.
Paramedic - Candidates must complete the NREMT examination process.
