Psyhomotor Exam Forms and Resources

To ensure the Psychomotor Examination for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) process is complete, please use the Psychomotor Examination Checklist.

The National Registry has provided a Psychomotor Examination Guide for Education Programs.

This guide has several references in regards to coordination with your State EMS Official. Additionally, Minnesota Statute 144E.28 established the requirements for eligibility of certification of EMT's.

To be eligible for certification an individual shall pass the NREMT cognitive and psychomotor examinations. The Psychomotor Examination Guide for Education Programs is the accepted guiding document for proper administration of the psychomotor examination and must be adhered to.

Note: Guides developed can be used for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), however they are for program reference only, as there is no regulatory requirements for the EMR Psychomotor Examination, but rather a competency verification.
