Regional Parent and Family Leadership

DCYF is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to implement the Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) model—and, where appropriate, the Indigenous Parent Leadership Initiative (IPLI)—across seven regions in Minnesota (Northwest, Northeast, West Central, Central, Metro, Southwest, and Southeast), Tribal Nations, and American Indian organizations.

About the Parent Leadership Training Institute

These initiatives go beyond training and represent civic engagement movements that equip parents to serve as advocates, decision-makers, and co-creators of community change. Parent leadership also offers opportunities for parents to strengthen social connections and build social capital.

This opportunity is supported the Minnesota Children’s Trust Fund and aligns with both Community Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) and Preschool Development Grant (PDG) goals to elevate family voice and leadership across the state.

How to submit a proposal

Review the full Regional Parent Leadership Training Institute RFP.

All interested organizations and community partners should review the RFP and consider submitting a proposal to help strengthen families, communities, and systems across Minnesota.
