Isaac Weston
Isaac - Wanbli Wicasa - An enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota. Isaac holds his bachelor's degree in Lakota Studies with an emphasis in Lakota culture through Oglala Lakota College. He has a vast knowledge of history, land, and traditional protocols, along with 13 plus years of experience in land surveying, archeology, and being a Tribal Cultural Specialist. Advocating for land and water rights and the protection of historic and ceremonial sites. He is currently the Cultural Resource Manager for the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council. Isaac and his partner have 3 children and his hobbies and interest include attending traditional events and ceremonies with his family, harvesting traditional foods and medicines, and he is a Men’s Traditional Dancer participating in wacipi (powwows) across the United States and Canada.
