5th Annual Dakota and Ojibwe Language Symposium
The Minnesota Indian Affairs Council’s Language Revitalization Working Group, partnering with the Minnesota Humanities Center, is hosting the 5th Annual Dakota and Ojibwe Languages Symposium. This year the symposium will be held February 25, 26, and 27 2026 at Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel in Morton, MN. The goal of the symposium is to bring people working in Dakota and Ojibwe languages revitalization together. We will use this time to celebrate successes, highlight the current state of the field, shape future language revitalization efforts, and elevate the visibility of Indigenous languages throughout the state of Minnesota. By bringing people together, we hope this symposium serves as an opportunity for individuals to network with other Dakota and Ojibwe language professionals.
