George J. Goggleye, Jr.
George has served as Director of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Finance Corporation & Human Service Director, Minnesota Chippewa Tribe from 2016 to 2023. George also was the Indian Education Director for Walker Hackensack Akeley Public School District #113 and held positions as the Assistant Gaming Director of the Leech Lake Gaming Division, General Manager of Northern Lights and White Oak Casinos for the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
George has been a resident of the Leech Lake Reservation for most of his life growing up in Cha Cha Ba Ning (Inger) or communities on or near the reservation. He is a graduate of Intermountain Inter-Tribal High School Brigham City, Utah; once considered the largest Boarding school in the United States. George holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Minnesota School of Business in Waite Park, MN. George is an avid outdoorsman, he also hunts, fishes, and gathers throughout the seasons. He has also served honorably in the United States Military (Marine Corps) from 1983-1986.
