Opalina Peralta is passionate about helping people in any way she can, she is the Executive Administrative Assistant at the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council (MIAC) where she supports MIAC primarily through the functions in MN Statue 3.922.
Opalina loves learning about politics and is current enrolled in the Community Equity Pipeline program with Wilder to become more actively engaged in legislative decision making at the Capital. She completed her undergrad in Political Science from Bemidji State University and is an enrolled member of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe. In her previous capacity, she's worked as a paralegal/legal assistant, having cases throughout greater Minnesota including Tribal Nations
In her free time Opalina enjoys hiking, her family and going up to the North Shore every year and hiking the different trails.
