Pa Der is an associate professor at St. Catherine University, Department of Social Work. Her research is focused on the immigration experience of Hmong Americans. She is a co-chair of the Minnesota Hmong Social Work Coalition, a board member of Hnub Tshiab Hmong Women Achieving Together, and she is a member of the Hmong Studies Consortium. Her social work practice experience includes the following areas: domestic violence, mental health program planning, individual and group therapy for children and adults, and crisis intervention with children and adults.
