Angie DeLille, of Minneapolis, is Ojibwe from the Lake Manitoba First Nation and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who holds a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Minnesota and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and Peace Studies from the College of St. Benedict. DeLille has a wealth of experience with children’s mental health issues as well as an interest in improving cultural competency in the social work profession. She works as the Director of the Office of Indian Policy at the MN Department of Human Services. DeLille was initially appointed as a social worker representing a private agency, and is serving a fifth four-year term ending on January 4, 2027.
