Address changes for individuals are completed on Sircon if the address change is to the same state.  If you need assistance updating the address on Sircon, please contact them directly at 1-877-876-4430. If the address change is to a different state, it must be completed at NIPR. If you need assistance updating the address on NIPR, please contact them directly at customerservice@nipr.com. The Department of Commerce cannot assist you with the NIPR website.

Business Entities

Address changes for business entities that involve a state to state change must be emailed to licensing.commerce@state.mn.us

Individuals

Fill out the Individual Name Change form (.pdf) and submit it by email to the Department of Commerce with the required documentation.

Resident Business Entities

Request a name change by email to Commerce. The request must include a copy of the Amended Articles of Incorporation that have been filed and stamped by the Secretary of State. 

Nonresident Business Entities

Request a name change by email to Commerce. We will verify electronically that you have updated your resident license before we process the name change.
