Long Term Care

Long Term Care

If you are wondering whether the course you took meets Minnesota’s long-term care training requirements, please review Minnesota Statute §60K.365 and contact the insurance company directly for assistance. The Department of Commerce does not track your long-term care training; that is the responsibility of both you and the insurer.

Insurance companies must obtain verification that a producer has received the training required by this section before the producer is permitted to sell, solicit, or negotiate the insurer's long-term care insurance products.

Insurers also must maintain records verifying that the producer has received the training contained in this section, and they must make that verification available to the commissioner upon request.
