December 15, 2022 - Respondent violated a standard of conduct under Minn. R. 6700.1600 (2021), when he committed misdemeanor domestic assault. Respondent’s guilty plea, despite his maintenance of innocence and the dismissal of the change, is sufficient for the Board to take action under its rules. Therefore, the Board has the discretion to refuse to renew, suspend, or revoke Respondent’s peace officer license, pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 626.8432, subd. 2 (2022).
