5-1800-33724 In the Matter of the Revocation of the Family Child Care License of Patricia Mott

July 9, 2018 - Licensee was responsible for maltreatment of a child by neglect. Licensee was properly disqualified for serious maltreatment of a child by neglect, but not recurring maltreatment. Licensee has not demonstrated she does not pose a risk of harm to the children she serves, and the information the Department relied on to make its determinations is correct. Therefore, Licensee’s disqualification should not be set aside. Because Licensee is responsible for serious maltreatment and disqualified, because another individual in the home is disqualified, and because Licensee withheld or provided false or misleading information during the investigation, the Commissioner of Human Services (Commissioner) should uphold the revocation of Licensee’s family child care license.
