84-1800-34683 In the Matter of the Appeal by MaryLou Stromme and Sister Group Home

February 26, 2018 - The Chief Administrative Law Judge concludes that the Department established by a preponderance of the evidence that Respondents were responsible for maltreatment of a vulnerable adult by neglect, and that the maltreatment was serious and recurring. As a result, the Department properly disqualified Respondent MaryLou Stromme. Respondents withdrew the appeals of the maltreatment and disqualification determinations. Accordingly, the Department has established reasonable cause to revoke SGH’s licenses. Respondent SGH failed to demonstrate it was in full compliance with the laws and rules the Commissioner of the Department of Human Services (Commissioner) alleges it violated. The Chief Administrative Law Judge recommends that the Commissioner AFFIRM the revocation of SGH’s licenses.
