68-0325-34720 Richard Keeney, Complainant, vs. Michael Reichow, D. Copperfield Jeweler, Inc., Prior Lake Downtown Business Association, and Zach Braid, Respondents.

February 2, 2018 - Complainant established that PLDBA and D. Copperfield Jeweler, Inc. violated the campaign finance reporting requirements of Minn. Stat. § 211A.02. A penalty in the amount of $750 each is appropriate. Complainant also established that D. Copperfield Jeweler, Inc. violated Minn. Stat. § 211B.15, subds. 2(a) and 4 by making prohibited corporate contributions. A penalty in the amount of $1,200 is appropriate. In addition, Complainant established that the PLDBA and Braid violated Minn. Stat. § 211B.15, subd. 2(b) by accepting prohibited corporate contributions. A penalty in the amount of $600 each is appropriate. The Complainant failed to establish that Reichow or Braid violated Minn. Stat. § 211B.02 and those claims are DISMISSED.
