Through the National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP), the Farm Service Agency collects color imagery used to monitor U.S. Department of Agriculture farm programs. Other organizations and citizens use NAIP photos for countless other applications.2006 NAIP geo-rectified photos
Most of Minnesota was flown in Summer 2006. The photos are 2-meter resolution.

- Download free from USDA's Data Gateway: The download file (MrSID Gen3 format, see list of county codes used in the filenames) also includes a polygon shapefile showing the outlines of the quarter-quad files used to create the county mosaic; the shapefile's IDAT attribute is the date the quarter-quad was flown.
