The Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) uses several data systems and tools to support EMS reporting, system oversight, quality improvement, and transparency. All data requests submitted to the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) are reviewed individually in accordance with applicable data practices laws and OEMS policies. The availability of data may vary based on data classification, privacy requirements, and the scope of the request. Data Governance & Compliance
The collection, management, and dissemination of data from the OEMS Data Center are governed by state and federal laws to protect privacy and ensure responsible use.
Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (MGDPA)
The MGDPA (Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13) regulates how government data is collected, stored, and shared. It ensures that public data is accessible while protecting the privacy of individuals in cases where data is classified as non-public.
Other Applicable Laws and Regulations
